Heya folks,
I've got a client that I'm setting up a number of different stores (i.e. different virtual domain names) for. He wants to run his payments through the Firepay/Optimal gateway (for which there's a contributed code base). However, from what I understand, the way Firepay works, each user account with them is attached to a specific domain, and if transactions are sent to the gateway from an unexpected domain, the transaction is automatically flagged bad.
Now the problem here is that the client I've got only had one of his domains signed up with the Firepay/optimal folks. So what he wants to have done is have the final payment processing be done on a page that lives in the webroot of the domain he DOES have signed up with Firepy/Optimal.
Is this possible? Has anyone previously done something similar? Will it break the osCommernce shopping carts to attempt something like this?
I know the proper solution to this problem is probably to tell the client to stop being so cheap and get all his domains accounts with Firepay/Optimal, but he's the kind of guy who'd rather put up a new store on a new domain for a targeted single product promotion than just create a new category or item in an existing store, so I have to have a way of quickly placating him.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
