I'm having exact same problem. . I'm on a virtual dedicated server at GoDaddy. My SSL is installed correctly and pages render correctly with https on url. But when I enable SSL in my config files, no one can login or checkout. Site wont even send forgotten password stuff when SSL is enabled.
I turn SSL off and site goes back to working perfectly.
No errors in access logs either.
Any ideas anyone?
