happypill
hi all,

I am hoping some useful person can help me out here.
We've got a fully set up oscomerce shop at a european domain - as in, happypill.eu
no matter what i fiddle with in the configuration, I can't seem to get it to display the prices in Sterling. I've changed the default currency to sterling, and I've changed it so when the shop displays in English, it should also default to sterling, but it doesn't. Sterling is in the drop down list along with euros and dollars, but whenever you open the page up fresh, it still displays dollars.
even if you manually chose sterling from the drop down options, as soon as you get tot the checkout, it goes back to dollars.

more importantly still, we are using SECpay to take the payments, and it cannot cope with converting the prices from dollars. SECpay state that the problem lies with oscommerce not with them. Basically, we can't take any orders until this is resolved! crying.gif

any suggestions would be great!
thanks

There is a connection between languages
and currencies in osCommerce. If you change the
default currency for the English language to (for
example) UK Pounds (symbol =GBP) then you also
need to edit includes/languages/english.php and
where you see 'USD' change it to 'GBP'. It was
assumed when osCommerce was written that if your
language was English then your currency would be
US Dollars biggrin.gif

thanks a lot - I'd changed the language0-currency connection on the configuration board but not actually in the database. Didn't occur. Doh! right, will try it now. Thanks!
