Newbie here with osCommerce.....I need recommendations for setting up to accept credit cards.

Would someone mind recommending a straight forward approach to doing this? What would the steps be? Yes, I will get to searching the archives, but if someone could recommend how I would do this, as far as what modules I would need to install and what service I should use (like paypal maybe)? I'm a software engineer so I'm not too worried about the technical end of this, but I want to make sure I go down the best route from the start by picking the minds of the experienced people here.

Thanks!

1)if you want to accept credit card at your site then have SSL and go for WPP of paypal.
2)if not then take paypal as payment method install Paypal IPN.

The best solution would be for you to use an online merchant account with your bank. To absolve yourself of resonsibility, set it up so that the payment details are handled by a third party (ie a payment gateway).
