I am quite new to OsCommerce, but love it so far. I have just re-hosted the proposed shop at simply.com having realised that fasthosts do not allow register_globals on their SSL space! Simply.com offer a straightforward shared SSL service that maps to the same space as the rest of the site, which is ideal.
The problem I have (and I know this has been discussed elsewhere) Is that the shopping cart contents disappear on handover to the secure server. The secure server can hold it's own contents, but obviously that's no good as there are effectively 2 carts.
I just would like someone to tell me how the cart contents are meant to be handed over, Is it a session variable? Post variable? Cookie?
Is it going to work at all with this setup?
Which tree should I be barking up to fix this.
