i have a problem: in my OsCommerce installation I use italian language and zone with italian regions.
when i create a new account in the point to insert the regions i don't have the list/menu item but just a text field. when i click on submit an error appear cause regions insert in text field isn't known and appear the list/menu items.
how can i modify the form to show directly the list/menu for regions??

I had similar problem with South African zones - there simply were none, so I could not select any - and it was important to be able to do it, because our store will offer shipping only in one zone (South Africa).
I think that I found the solution, and it may work for you too.
In Admin, I went to
Locations / Taxes
and clicked on
Zones
in the drop-down menu.
Then I added a new zone, (or you may add multiple zones) by pressing on the "New Zone" button in the middle, bottom.
After that I was able to select the zone I created in the Configuration - My Store - Zone, and in Modules - Shipping - Table Rate - Shipping Zone.
I still have not tested the set up, but I see no reason why it should not work.
