Once I decide that a modification to my dev store is OK for production, what is the best way to move a dev store into a live stores spot? Is there a way to temporarily redirect all traffic to only one page without causing trouble with the search engine bots? I know I can change the index page but what about people who enter a specific product page? I'd rather let a customer see a "temporarily down" page then a messed up half working website.
I assume pausing all ppc campaigns would be a good start.
