Being a beginnger with OS Commerce and PHP and MySQL, I had no idea how to upload images into the database or write it into the PHP code. With a little bit of knowledge in php and knowing how to align images, using photobucket html codes is an easy way to add images to your homepage until you become more acquainted with the program. Just a suggestion. Try It!!!

the browse -> select image -> upload function is similar to that of your standard email application if i am not mistaken, photobucket periodically purges accounts for inactivity, so i would caution against using them indefinitely.
