I've got the UPS XML Rates and Services contribution downloaded but have a few questions and did not see an official thread.

Here goes:

a) I took over my client's OSCommerce system when I redesigned their site. Have no idea what version of UPS XML is there currently. Any way to determine? Should I go with just a fresh install path?

cool.gif Assuming that I go with a fresh install, I am asked to "Run the three queries found in (or use the file itself) the included sql file: configuration_shipping.sql to add three configuration keys to the table configuration."

How do I run these? With what? Sorry, I know... newbie.... but it does leave a lot of guessing there. Did a Google on this and got nowhere really...

c) Step 4 is "This step to add the function tep_cfg_select_multioption to catalog/admin/includes/functions/general.php is no longer needed. Two new functions that can only be used for the UPSXML module were added to the shipping module itself (outside of the class). They are get_multioption_upsxml and upsxml_cfg_select_multioption_indexed and can be moved to admin/included/functions/general.php if you like. Don't forget to remove them from a new version of the shipping module upsxml.php in case of a future update!"

Sounds like the instructions Princess Leia gave before the battle on Hoth. If this step is no longer needed, then why is it a step? And if I have to move something (remember, it's a FRESH install!) what is it I am moving? Can someone give the code of what it is I should be looking for and moving so I don't move the wrong thing?

d) Step 5 "The step to enlarge a database field in the table configuration from type "VARCHAR(255)" to TEXT is no longer needed."

Why is this here? If it's no longer needed, then what should I do?

Can anyone help with the confusion?
